Welcome to the website of the Pipe Band Association of Switzerland (PBAS), the umbrella organisation of Swiss pipe bands.

The organisation is affiliated to the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA), however it independently and neutrally represents the interests of the Swiss piping scene across all regions on both national and international levels.

Its purpose is to improve the playing standard through regular training and to promote Scottish piping, drumming, drum majoring and highland dancing in Switzerland.

It is also the point of contact when organising a large formation, such as Massed Bands consisting of several bands that are affiliated with the PBAS, as well as the organisation of  competitions for bands, solo pipers and drums, and drum majors, which conform to the standard rules, in particular the official Swiss Championships.
